About Clubhouse
Crosspoint Clubhouse is a ministry of Crosspoint Church for children between the ages of one to five. We follow the Mckinney ISD school calendar, however we begin our school year after the Labor Day Holiday and end our school year before Memorial Day.
Our normal hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm.
Please review our posted school year calendar for details and holidays.
Mission
To enrich the lives of children - spiritually, emotionally, academically, and physically while growing in God’s love.
Curriculum
Biblically-based and incorporates developmentally appropriate academic concepts for each age group.
Values & Learning
Children enrolled in Crosspoint Clubhouse experience teaching of basic Christian values with a broad range of academics. We have a well-planned, teacher-written curriculum, with school-wide monthly themes, Bible characters, art, dramatic play, music, science/nature, finger plays and group time. The daily schedule also includes playground time (weather permitting), and plenty of time to move about and expend that endless energy, as well as quiet activities. Our preschool classes utilize a variety of resources for spiritual and academic focus including but not limited to WeeLearn Curriculum, Frog Street Press, Quirkles Science, and Baptist Way Press Curriculum.
Teacher Training
Every teacher receives ongoing training in child development, safety, discipline, religion, CPR, First-Aid, and creative teaching skills. We have a highly qualified preschool staff, one of the best in the area! Most of our preschool staff members are actually certified teachers, many with emphasis and experience in early childhood education. These teachers bring with them a wealth of knowledge and resources. Starting at age 3 we have two state certified teachers in each classroom.
Music
During music class, the school’s monthly themes are extended and the children learn songs, finger plays, and creative body movements. We have two programs in the Worship center every year, one being at Christmas time and one in the Spring.
Art & Bible
Once a week, students age 2 and up will receive art and bible classes. Students are instructed in the principals of art and biblical lessons.
Chapel
For children age 3 and older, Chapel is a special time in which they pray, sing, and listen to God’s Word. We begin teaching them about God’s love for us and important people in the Bible. We teach them the basics of what prayer is, how we pray, and why we pray.
